Can only subscribe to rdlreport error

Hello,

I have a free trial of Fabric in one of my workspaces in order for users to test the dynamic subscriptions of a paginated report. I gave access as Contributor to three users on the same date and they all have a Power BI Pro license.

A user after some time is not able to create dynamic subscriptions any more and receives the error below. The rest of the users can still create subscriptions. I contacted the sales team of Microsoft and they said that it should have been working because they don't require any extra licensing.

If anyone could help on that it would be much appreciated.

The user can now subscribe but I haven't changed anything. After checking together with the user to replicate the issue, it might have been an invalid email on the recipients by the user's side. The error though was not really related with the root of cause if that's trully the case. Thank you for your help though.

hi @andreasz93 ,

The error suggests a potential issue with the workspace capacity or user licensing.

Steps to Resolve:

  1. Verify the user’s Power BI Pro license and workspace Premium Capacity (Fabric Trial or Premium Per User).
  2. Check the user’s role (Contributor or higher).
  3. Test subscriptions in another Premium-backed workspace or report.
  4. Reassign the user a Premium Per User trial to rule out Fabric Trial limitations.

For more details, refer to Power BI Licensing and Premium Features.

Hi @andreasz93  - Verify the user's license status in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center or contact your organization's IT administrator.Go to the workspace settings → Check the Roles and Permissions for the user.
Ensure the user is still listed as a Contributor and has the same permissions as others who can successfully create subscriptions.

Ensure the trial workspace is not overburdened with too many dynamic subscriptions or other tasks.

If capacity limits are the issue, consider upgrading to a full Fabric Premium license.

Contact Microsoft Support directly with the details of the affected user. Provide logs if possible to assist in diagnosing the issue.
