I'm looking at a way to allow a customer to use certain data for their own analytical use in their tenant.
First option I've explored that works is in-place semantic model sharing through B2B. This allows customer to direct query a semantic model made available to him. However, any report he builds and then shares with others requires that the consumers have access to our semantic model as well. This is a bit inconvenient.
I then wondered: a lakehouse has a SQL endpoint. Is there a way an external tenant could connect to the SQL endpoint and import the data? I assume any access is OAuth2 and he'd still need to be a guest user, but then he could just import and share as he likes?

Hi @MG86 ,
It is possible in theory, the official documentation has no relevant external user restrictions, but they have to have the appropriate permissions. What is the SQL analytics endpoint for a lakehouse? - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn
Hope it helps!
