Can a Free User access workspace created in Pro?

Hi All,

 

Can someone help me answer this well as there have been conflicting answers to this question?

 

I have a Pro license and wanted to give access to some free users to a Power BI workspace using the viewer role. Will they be able to view and consume the dashboards inside this workspace?  Please note that I don't want to publish this dashboard to an app.

    Simple answer is No. Other users also need to have Pro license to consume/view the reports in the workspace.

     

    BUT BUT BUT... if the workspace from which you are sharing the reports ,is in Premium capacity, then the end users will be able to consume without Pro.

      Hi,

       

      How do I make the workspace a Premium capacity? I see this option but it only lets me select PPU... all of my colleagues had access to this workspace until this week when one messaged me and said that she was getting a pop up telling her she couldn't access without a Pro license. We only have so many Pro licenses in my company, but she only needs to be able to view the report and apply filters/export data, etc.
