Can I update a Semantic Model without a Default Gateway?

Hi,

I created a Semantic Model that collects data by calling three PHP apps and publishing it in a workspace.

When I tried to update the data, I received an error because I didn't configure a gateway. But I read that it is possible to update data without a gateway if you use the function Web.Contents instead of Web.BrowserContents on Power Query, like this:

Source = Web.Contents("http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/collect_data.php")

Did someone try to do something like this?
