Can Bookmarks pane in user-owned embedded work in VIEW mode?

We want to allow individual users viewing an embedded report to create and load personal bookmarks. This is USER-OWNED DATA scenario.

I have enabled the bookmarks pane but the “Add” button is grayed out.

The pane seems to only allow adding bookmarks if I embed report in EDIT mode

As you said, only users with edit permission can customize bookmarks.

@V-lianl-msft But how can we enable the Personal bookmark while embedding as personalBookmarksEnabled=true doesnt work
