Hello guys,
I have a question to calculated columns in Power BI Desktop. Specifically it’s about the function FORMAT, which I use in my date-table to create columns like name of month and name of weekday.
When I don’t use the third parameter locale_name, it creates a text which language depends on the language settings of Power BI Desktop (in my case it’s German).
Now I want to deploy my report on Power BI Service. And here is the question:
Let’s say the reader is from US and uses of course a browser, which language is set to English. How will he see the names of the month and the weekday?
In my opinion the columns will not be calculated again and the reader still sees German texts. But I am not sure. Do you have an idea?
Tanks and greetings

Hi, @Jan_Trummel
The result of the data will not change, the presentation style of the data such as datetime in the visual will change.

I think, if the data has refreshed in Power BI Service, it will be in English
