Calculated Column in Power BI service not available

Hi,

I created a list in SharePoint to retrieve information about one of our internal process and I added a Power BI dashboard through the Integrate menu (not the Power BI Desktop option) available in the Microsoft List (image below). After some week, I realized that I needed a calculated column to compute additionnal information based on other fields of the same list and it worked perfectly when I checked them in the list. However, now that I try to add that calculated column into my Power BI dashboard, I don't even see the field in the list of available data.

I tried to "Sync list structure" available in the File menu (image below) and refresh the visual, but the new calculated column field is still not available in the list of fields under the list dataset when I try to edit the dashboard. I tried creating a new dashboard online and it didn't fix the problem and I tried using a calculated column in a complete new list with a new dashboard and it worked fine. Is there a way a force an update of the dataset other than what I already tried. I don't want to recreate the list considering that people are using it daily and I know that I could use Power BI Desktop, but I want to know if it is possible to fix it with available tools online.

Hi @YannL ,

From your description, we can know that the semantic model when you first created the dashboard did not contain calculated column.

The calculated column were created by you later, so it is not feasible for you to add calculated column to the dashboard based on the original semantic model.

My suggestion is:

Reconnect the existing SharePoint list to Power BI online, which should pull in the current structure of the list, including the new calculated column.
