Buttons not working in app

Hello, I need help in making buttons work. So I made a few reports with buttons integrated inside, no problem with the buttons in the report itself since it is working. I have added it in a dashboard and the button still works. However, when I consolidate it in an app, the buttons no longer work anymore no mattery how many times I click on it. I tried clicking ctrl button and clicking it but still it does not work.

    Hi Anonymous ,

     

    have you tried this in different browsers?  Sometimes browsers themselves have settings that don't let these sort of things work.

      Yes, I have tried it on different browsers and it did not work a single time. Buttons are assigned too bookmarks in the report. I also have buttons that are assigned to a link and it is working just fine.

        Hi Anonymous ,

         

        Since you state that it works in the dashboard and not the app I am wondering about the buttons - are they only to Power BI items (like the bookmarks) or are they to other items (like a web URL)?

         

        I found this in a different thread - do you think this might be your issue (I don't think so....but, trying....)

        I discovered the reason my buttons were unresponsive is because I was using the "Title" property (in General section of the Format pane) to set my button text. For some reason, the Title part of a button is not selectable, it seems. Once I changed all my button labels to use the Text propery (in Button>Style section of the Format pane), the buttons started working as expected.
