Button Slicer Visual Not Available in Power BI Service
I am not sure what changed but the Button Slicer visual is no longer available in our Power BI service.
Now my reports have a horizontal scroll bar that is blocking the buttons.
Has anyone else ran into this? If so how do you fix it?

Did you accidentally disable it in the Preview option settings?

No. I have verified it is enabled.
The reports have worked fine for the last year and this just popped up this week.

I just tested with 2.142.928.0 and cannot reproduce. If you have a Pro license you can open a Pro ticket at https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/newsupportticket/powerbi

Hi dawaro ,
To ensure the Button Slicer visual functions correctly in the Power BI Service, try the following steps:
-
Republish the report from Power BI Desktop, selecting Overwrite existing datasets/reports to fully sync all components with the server.
-
Configure the data source in the online service using the appropriate gateway or cloud connection permissions. Go to the dataset settings and ensure the data source credentials are properly set.
-
Verify slicer field integrity by confirming that all fields bound to the slicer exist in the online dataset and haven’t been renamed or deleted.
-
Check version compatibility, as new features like the Button Slicer may require specific support in the server version. Visit the official Power BI website or service status page to confirm current support.
-
Enable preview features on the Power BI Service by navigating to: Settings → Options → Preview Features, then toggle on New Button Slicer.
If the Button Slicer is a custom visual, ensure it has been re-uploaded and authorized in the Service. Go to Datasets/Reports > Settings > Global Permissions, and enable Custom Visuals.

No the issue still remains. As mentioned it functions as designed in desktop.
Scroll is vertical on the right side.
Once it is published the scroll becomes horizontal.

Hi dawaro ,
Try incresing the width and height of the button slicer in visualizations > format your visual > properties > height and width in PBI Desktop and check after publishing.
Thanks and Regards.

I have tried that as well and it does not change the appearance.
