Bookmark Navigator and Button Slicer show scrollbars on PBI Service
After re-publishing the report today, My Page Navigator/ Bookmark Navigator and other Button Slicer suddenly started to show scrollbars on PBI Service. There are no scrollbars on the Desktop. No matter how much I stretch the visuals, scrollbar persists.
There is no overflow of text and I checked all the possible visual settings
I tried to rebuild the same visual purely on Service, but even the most basic page navigator with no fomatting shows scrollbar for some reason:
The same scrollbar today showed up on the "new" Card visual:
As well as "new" Button Slicer:
Any help would be much appreciated
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this, it's very helpful. Since the issue occurs only in Firefox and works correctly in Edge, it seems to be a browser specific rendering issue, not a problem with the report itself.
Try clearing the cache or opening the report in a private window in Firefox, and check if your browser is updated. For now, Edge is a good alternative.
Let us know if the issue continues or if you need more help.

Hi Anonymous
What can happen sometimes is that there are changes made to the Power BI service which cause some issues. I would wait until tomorrow to see if the issue gets resolved.

Hi Anonymous ,
Adding to GilbertQ point, this seems like a Power BI Service side issue, especially since it started suddenly after republishing and is also affecting new visuals.
You can try a few things like disabling responsive settings, reducing padding, slightly increasing the visual size, and checking that your browser zoom is set to 100%.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the quick response GilbertQ .

Hi Anonymous,
I've seen this before with the new card visuals quite often. I always make sure my cards aren't taking up the entire space so that even if the text were to grow a little or the card were to shrink a little there wouldn't be a scroll bar. That seems to work most of the time for me.

Advocate I
Have used Power BI via Firefox for many years, and I am also seeing this issue start occurring recently in the Power BI Service.
Edit: It looks like Firefox updated scrollbar behavior in their most recent release (v153), which I believe is causing this issue.

I'm also experiencing the same issue using firefox. The card visuals and button slicers are showing these scroll bars while they are not visible in PBI desktop or other browsers like edge/chrome. All my reports have this issue, regardless of when they were published.
I've never noticed an issue like this before, so it must be a bug related to the PowerBI service or new firefox update.. - Richard_UMPVFrequent Visitor
My Firefox updated to the v153 (yesterday I still was on branch 140) and the issue appeared to me too on my New Cards widgets.
My colleagues who also updated Firefox to branch 153 experience the same issue.
I tried building a blank page with the simplest New Cards widget inside and it gets the scrollbar, even when I stretch it, tweak the numbers or use minimal space taking date to display.
Should we create a ticket to Mozilla Firefox ?
