Hi,
Is this issue the same with this one: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/Matrix-visual-doesn-t-show-data-ANYMORE-if-there-is-not-field-in/idc-p/307562?
How can I reproduce this issue?
Best Regards!

Yep. That's extractly the issue. Dragged a field into "columns" and everything is well with the world again. THANKS!
Would be great if the Matrix viz worked as before. I now have the issue of the columns auto-sizing rather than wrapping. Is there a solve for this!!!

Hi Dale,
Yes the issue is the same issue as https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/Matrix-visual-doesn-t-show-data-ANYMORE-if-there-is-not-field-in/idi-p/303624/page/2#comments and https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/matrix/m-p/307400#M35599, except that
*** I am not able to drag a value into the 'Columns' area. If I try, the field does not appear in the 'Columns' area. This function does not work.***I have tried downloading the most recent version of Power BI Desktop, saving the pbix file in that version, and publishing that to the Service, it doesn't fix the problem.
To answer your questions :
- The report and visual are not in my workspace, they are in a workspace that has many members (colleagues at our company).
- RLS is indeed applied in the dataset.
- Yes we can still create a Matrix visual in the Service. However, it has the same problem - no data appearing on screen in the on-screen columns of the matrix visual.
Has a change recently been made to the matrix visual?

Hi Dale
I have the same issue again. Any words on how to fix it or do we just have to wait?
