Do you have the option to spin up a VM and run the gateway on there? Both DirectQuery and Import mode need a gateway to connect to your MySQL DB on AWS.

Helper IThank you for the reply. So, is the best option to create a virtual machine on AWS? Should I create an EC2 instance for that? Or is there a better option without needing to do that?

I have never done it myself, but the way you suggested, I would go for.
AWS seems to propose EC2 as well.
