Dears,
I’m using Power BI Desktop in Import Mode with a Databricks normal view as the data source. The setup applies incremental refresh, where only the last month is refreshed, and the previous two years are archived.
My question is:
When users query the report from the Power BI Service, will it hit the Databricks source every time, or will the data already be stored in the capacity as an imported copy, preventing the report from repeatedly querying Databricks (which could slow performance due to the normal view hitting the physical data)?
FYI : Iam using query folding
Thank you,

in Import mode, you do not query the source but use the imported data

No, Databricks is not queried every time.
Since you're using Import Mode with incremental refresh, the data is stored in Power BI’s internal storage. Users query the cached data, not Databricks—except during scheduled refreshes, which only pull the latest month thanks to query folding.
