Backwards deployment through deployment pipeline

Hi,

I am trying to do a backward deployment from prod to test workspace after cleaning up the test workspace, but I am getting this error:

"Can't start the deployment

The number of artifacts to be deployed has exceeded the amount for a single deployment. Use selective deployment to reduce deployed artifacts count."

I have more thn 300 reports & datasets and I cannot see an option for selective deployment backwards, from prod to test. Please help me with this, any solution will be apreciated.

Hi @PraveenP

what you could do is delete all Test Workspaces and start over you Piplines deployment from Prod Workspace

Power Bi will create the Pipline to go from Prod to Test and vice versa.

Please before deleting Test Workspaces do a separate test to realise how this could work for you.

Hi,

Thank you for the help, I have a couple of questions though. Can I remove test workspace from the existing pipeline and do the selective deployment by creating new test workspace(all changes made only in pipeline). Or can I swap the pipeline sequence from test o prod toprod to test, is that an option??
Can you please elaborate on the solution. Thank you for your help.
