Backup PowerBI DataScource and Apps

I'm having the following issue:
One employee is our PowerBI expert and has all DataSources and Apps in his own workspace.
Structure
The employees Microsoft Account --> Synchronizes the datasets on a VM via PowerBI Gateway --> Processed and shared on app.powerbi.com
I want the DataSources as well as apps to be backed up and movable to a different account. How can i do that?

Needs more information. Was the development done in the Power BI service, or in Power BI Desktop in PBIX files?
Hey Ibendlin, the development was done on PowerBI Desktop.
Have that employee save their PBX files to a OneDrive or SharePoint, and enable versioning for that document library. If the files are too big or your quota is too small you can think about periodically creating PBIT files or using external tools to capture the BIM (model description) and put these into Github repositories or similar.
An important aspect of a team development effort in Power BI is communication. Mainly to avoid overwriting each other's work.
