Azure Synapse? Does it include Power BI?
With the release of Azure Synapse, it's not clear if Power BI is included i.e. does Azure Synapse now become another way to procure a Power BI License or is Power BI still separate and Azure Synapse is basically related to the ETL/DW part only.

Also brings back the questions on Power BI vs Azure AS vs now Azure Synapse i.e. when and why would I use one over the other.
Basic requirements are to be able to ingest data from multiple sources, transform, load into a models and access via dashboard/reports.

From my understanding you will still require a Power BI Pro license to create, consume and share the data.
Power BI sits ontop of the datasets that is created by Synapse.
What this does is it allows another option for organizations who typically have a lot of disparate data structures and a lot of data to easily create a way to consume all the data and report on it through Power BI.
