Azure SQL forcing me to use a gateway
Hi guys, I have the following situation at work, I'm creating several dashboards in PBI, connected to an Azure SQL database but the only way is allowing me to refresh its via a Gateway Connection, but in my case this is not an option i need this to be continuously refreshing since the data is from a CRM/ERP which is on the cloud not locally install, is there any way i can do this without using a Gateway.
*BTW using the Gateway is working fine and refreshing but I cant keep this PC on just to refresh data

If your dataset only contains Azure SQL database dataset, Power BI gateway is not required.
If your dataset contains not only Azure SQL database data source but also the on premise data source, then it needs to use the gateway and configure schedule refresh , see more: :On-premises data gateway , Configure scheduled refresh . Note that you also need to select Allow user's cloud data sources to refresh through this gateway cluster option Under Gateway Cluster Settings. See: Merge or append on-premises and cloud data sources.

For this concern, recommend you install on premise data gateway (Enterprise gateway) instead of Personal gateway.
Then you can create high availability clusters of On-premises data gateway installations .The Power BI service always uses the primary gateway in the cluster, unless it’s not available. In that case, the service switches to the next gateway in the cluster, and so on.
