Azure Maps Legend Colors Correct in Desktop but Incorrect in Power BI Service

I'm running into an issue with the Azure Maps visual and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

In Power BI Desktop, the map legend displays the correct custom colors that I've assigned to each category under Format → Markers Layer → Apply settings to Series.

After publishing to the Power BI Service:

• The map markers/dots display the correct custom colors.
• The Format pane still shows the correct custom colors assigned to each series.
• However, the legend reverts to the default Azure Maps color palette (blue, cyan, green, etc.) and no longer matches the marker colors on the map.

What's interesting is that the issue occurs even in Edit Mode in the Service. The marker colors and series settings are correct, but the legend appears to be ignoring them.

Additional details:

• Using an Azure Maps visual with a categorical legend.
• Legend field is a calculated DAX column (SWITCH statement).
• Colors are assigned manually in the Markers Layer settings, not via conditional formatting.
• The issue is reproducible across multiple map pages.
• The problem appears to affect only the legend; the map itself renders correctly.

As a temporary workaround, I've disabled the legend.

Has anyone else encountered this behavior, or found a workaround? It feels like a Service-side Azure Maps rendering issue, but I'd appreciate any insight before opening a Microsoft support ticket.
