I have a map on desktop which looks like this:
I applied conditional formatting to the shapes under visual/reference layer/polygons/fill color and setting the fill color using this formula:
When I publish my report however the result on web looks like this:
The conditional formatting has been erased. When I go to apply it on web I don't even see the option to use a function to determine the fill color of the polygons. Has this just not been implemented yet? Or is there something that I am missing?
Does anyone know if this has been resolved at all? Thanks 🙂
A few weeks after posting this, I checked again and it was working as intended. I could see the conditional formatting on the web verison the same as the desktop.
I am experiencing the same problem. The conditional formatting is lost on the Azure map visual after publishing from Desktop to Service.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Has there been any progress on this issue? I am experiencing the exact same problem.
I haven't been able to figure it out. It looks to me like it may just be a flaw with the web version.
I am also experiencing this issue.
Desktop: | Service: |
See also screenshot from the Power BI service, which does not display the conditional formatting option (for polygons in Reference Layer).
For additional context
- Reference layer is a zipped .shp
- Power BI version is 2.138.782.0 64-bit (November 2024)
Same problem. Conditional formatting disappears for the Azure map visual after publishing from Desktop to Service. Conditionally formatting the polygon is also not available when editing online.
Clearing cash from the browser or Desktop, or trying different browsers does not solve the issue (https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Desktop/Conditional-formatting-lost-when-report-published-...)
Hi @ColeDixon ,
To facilitate a more accurate replication of your scenario, would it be possible for you to kindly provide your PBIX file? Please ensure any sensitive or private data is removed before sharing.
Best Regards,
Bof
Hope this works - the forum wouldn't let me attach the file directly.
Hi @ColeDixon ,
Based on the above information, It's a reproducible issue. I would suggest opening a Support Ticket.
If you are a Power BI Pro or Fabric licensee, you can create a support ticket for free and a dedicated Microsoft engineer will come to solve the problem for you.
It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the root cause or solution.
