Azure Fabric Copilot Free usage for AI automated narratives

Hi,

I want to build auto narratives using copilit into my one KPI report, the built is smart narrativers the business did not take to.

I dont have finance and no fabric license witht the smallest prod F2 is $260 monthly for 1 report

1. i dont know if i can get away using a free account for the monthly 1 report that requires auto narrtives from all the underlaying datasets and visuals?

2. Can powerBi connect directly to azure fabric cpoliot to get the data, sorry i dont know how it works

But is theres any cost involved its not an option as my goals are more cost savings

Copilot features in Microsoft Fabric, such as AI-generated narratives and insights, are only available in workspaces with Fabric or Power BI Premium capacity (F SKU or above). These capabilities are not offered with free or Pro licenses. Copilot is not a standalone service for Power BI; it works within the Power BI or Fabric environment to analyze and summarize report data. If you want to minimize costs, you can use Power BI Smart Narratives or create dynamic DAX measures to describe trends and KPIs in text. These options don’t require a Fabric license and still provide automated insights at no extra charge.
