Hi, I am following
to setup a gateway server in an AWS EC2 windows server.
In the link it mentions "Don’t forget to allow Power Bi Service API permissions as Tenant.Read.All and Tenant.ReadWrite.All with this permissions your power bi gateway will be able to connect to the Power Bi published report"
However tenant wise permission is not allowed in our environment. I am looking for help on delegated API permissions so that the gateway server can access the power bi reports. Please let me know what delegated API permission is required for this
thanks
As far as I am aware, the power BI service API permissions is if you want to use a service principle to connect to your reports and or to your data sources for just installing the power BI gateway, you can just install it with your own permissions and that should work as expected.
@GilbertQ thanks for your response.
But even for service principal there has to api permissions. I am looking for what specific delegated api permissions are required for the app for which the Power BI gateway server installed in AWS EC2 is able to access the reports and datasets
