Automatic refresh when opening report in Power BI

The option you are looking for is available neither in PBI Service nor Desktop.You can set up a scheduled refresh in service by configuring the gateways with the data sources. ( https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/refresh-data)
Power BI Desktop only allows manual refresh. Auto-refresh in the desktop is not possible, but there is an idea for it:

- Djordje_M5 years agoAdvocate IIThanks. Now I need to check if my data source is allowing scheduled refresh. It seems to be a good idea to add this feature to the desktop version as well.
