Automatic data update on power bi desktop
Hello, I created a report from a sql server source but without going through ETL (SSIS Package) because a partner who manages the database did not allow us to create a DW, so I imported the table...
If you are on Power BI desktop, you have to hit the refresh button to update the data model.
But you can schedule automated refresh on Power BI service, if there is a gateway ( assuming your sql server is on-prem)
The first, you only need to set the refresh in Power BI Service. If you have on-prem data source in your report, you may require Power BI Gateway.
