Hello v-sgandrathi,
I want to update on that topic with an interesting finding which the colleagues of the support had with me. The issue why this is not working is that if a semantic model is within a folder in a workspace, then it does not work. If the semantic model is on the "root" of the workspace, meaning in no folder, it actually works.
Shout out to Anonymous for figuring this out!!!
Hope this get fixed in the next time to have consistent function behaviour for users.
