Auto Refresh on Power BI Service - But the new visualization is not being updated.

Hi , i have used Auto Refresh on PBI, however i expect when i do any additional visualization on PBI desktop , it supposed to get the updated of those visuals in PBI Service as well. 
In the meantime, i have updated over the new additional visuals , but in PBI service is not updated those additional visuals rather than only update the new data. 

Please let me know whether i understand incorrectly.

    to update the visuals you need to follow below
    Once updated in Power BI Desktop -> Publish to workspace -> go to workspace -> update the App (if sharing through APP)
    This way only you will be seeing updated visuals on web.
