Auto Refresh Frequency Disabled

Hi,

 

Created a Direct Query Report and published to power bi service. Gateway is already configured. when trying to change the refresh frequency in the dataset, then options are disabled. How to change the refresh frequency,

    Hi there, with DirectQuery every time you interact with a visual it send the queries directly to your source. So the data is never cached. The greyed out option below is the cache refresh for dashboard items only.

      Hi,

      Data is refreshed in the Published reports (published to Web) on page refresh not on visualization selection.

      But when viewing it inside the power bi service, it is refreshed only after the refresh option in power bi.

       

      We are using Pro license. in pro license minimum frequency for datasets are 15 mins only.

       

      But we want it to be refreshed properly in the given intervals without page refresh (for published to Web reports) and manual refresh (in power bi service).

        Hi karthikkjm,

         

        If you leave the report opened before, after the new data added in source table, we need to click refresh button or refresh the browser to see updated data in power bi service. If you want to see updated data in report without refreshing manually, you can install an auto-refresh extension to your browser.
