Audience not auto added to Dataset Permission Direct Access List which is in different workspace

I tried to Update App, which contains Report file type and it is connected to dataset in another workspace.

I found if dataset is not within the same workspace, Audience is not auto added to Dataset > Permission > Direct Access List which is in different workspace. They should have added for App access.

Is this normal or it should be fixed? Audience is not able to access to and view Reports in App.

this is normal behavior. There is no automatic dataset update across workspaces.

So can I conclude automatic dataset update for Direct Access > Permission > App will happen in SAME workspace(report and dataset in same workspaceA) but not ACROSS workspace(report in workspaceA and dataset in workspaceB) when I Update reports to App?
Any documentation stated about this?
