Are reports and exports encrypted?

According the Power BI security white paper, data in the Power BI service is stored with encryption. What does "data" cover exactly? Datasets are encrypted, but are reports themselves encrypted as well? What about PDF files that have already been created using the Export to File API?

If I revoke access to my key under BYOK encryption, it looks like I'm no longer able to download the PBIX, but I can still download an exported PDF or PPTX file whose export job had already finished running.

Hi @xli629b ,

As you say, data in the Power BI Service is stored with encryption, all dataset, report, dashboard, app etc. But PDF,  PPTX and the downloaded pbix. are separate files you have exported and has nothing to do with Power BI Service, just like any other normal PDF and PPTX, it can be opened without credential.

For exports, I don't mean the file that I have already downloaded. Rather, I run the export operation, and it gives me an export ID. When the export operation completes, I can use that export ID to download the file that has been generated. While it's available for download, it's stored on the cloud. I'm asking if it's encrypted while stored there.

It looks like it might not be encrypted because I can still download it after revoking access to my encryption keys.
