Architecture SSAS live connection to service

Hello community,

I am wondering how a live SSAS connection works in the service. Let’s say we’re running an SSIS job every minute so that the DW is filled with new data every minute, does live SSAS connection mean that the data is automatically refreshed in the service without having to refresh the report ?

If the data is in SSAS, Power BI service don't need to be refreshed for Live Connection. Does your SSIS job refresh the cubes in SSAS? If yes, you will have the updated data in Power BI everytime. 

Power BI Service refresh is needed only for the IMPORTed datasets.
