The issue where ArcGIS Maps in Power BI fail to display ZIP codes correctly in Power BI Service but work fine in Power BI Desktop and the Power BI Android App is often related to data privacy settings, permissions, or differences in how Power BI Service processes location data. One common reason is that ArcGIS in Power BI Service requires the dataset's "Privacy Level" to be set correctly, typically to "Organizational" rather than "Private." Additionally, ensure that the "Location Type" in the ArcGIS visual is correctly set to "Postal Code" or "ZIP Code" and that the column is properly categorized as "Postal Code" in the data model. Another factor could be the use of DirectQuery versus Import mode—certain geographic features may behave differently between these modes. You should also check whether your organization's Power BI tenant settings allow the use of ArcGIS maps, as admins can restrict certain external services. If the issue persists, try republishing the report, clearing browser cache, or testing the report in an incognito window to rule out session-related issues.
