ArcGIS Limitiations
We are planning to bring ArcGIS Maps for Power BI to Power BI Embedded. The technical research has started for how to do this, but there's a significant investment required to do it right, across all scenarios. Could you add an idea to https://ideas.powerbi.com so you can stay updated once we deliver the capability? Thanks!
manderson There is no announcement that I am aware of that shares if/when this feature will be released.
It would be a good idea to subscribe to the blog for the latest updates on released features here and I would suggest adding votes to the idea here to raise the visibility if it isn't on the team's radar.
Thanks for coming back to me and suggesting the votes. Does anyone have any idea why this wasn't included at the time?
manderson In general, MSFT is releasing features in preview (as ArcGIS currently is in) so that we can work with them. This means that they are not deployed in all aspects of the tool right out of the gate. In addition to that, there may be certian features that are more difficult to deploy in a particular scenario, or won't be supported. - I don't see why this eventually wouldn't be supported, but that's just my opinion.
