Apps Audiences limit

Anyone else a little frustrated at the limit of ten audiences on an app? I was speaking to someone who was a PM I think for the app at the PBI summit last year. They said that they had no current plans to add more than one app per workspace (which would be very helpful) but may look at increasing the number of audiences and asked the group how many would be needed. I have now run out and my only option is to create another workspace and either duplicate my main dataset in both workspaces (I use a golden dataset) which isn't ideal, or use a streaming dataset, so I can't test my RLS properly.

1. Does anyone from MS have an update on this increase?

2. Does anyone else have any workarounds? Other than my two options above? If I publish the golden dataset in both workspaces, will this have any impact on anything? (mostly worried about my RLS failing) - I assume if I publish the same dataset I won't risk data silos however I run the risk of my forgetting to publish any changes in both places!

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

MS has updated the documentation in Publish an app in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

"You can create up to 25 audience groups per app."

Hi,

I remark today the limit is more than 10 !

Could you test it?

This, so much this. We have been yelling at MS about this and they are not budging. It's as if they have never talked to an enterprise customer. Wait until you find out the other limitations.
