Apply Date only on Visualization

Hello Experts,

 

I have a Share point list Data source and i have created a slicer for date field. in SP list this date columum have time also but for my slicer visualization only date to be appear. 

i was thinking of changing data type from data view but for SP list , Data view is not appearing. please advise.

Need Help

    You should be able to cut the time component off in Power Query. Can you post the (sanitized) M code?

    Hello lbendlin , Thank for the response. what i did i have added one new custom column from the datetime column and then set it to date only. so now this new column is showing only date not time.

    this new column i have added in my visualization but there it shows date as drop down , i want slider type visulization but only two options aer available list and dropdown. 

    in my previous experience i face the same issue in case of direct query mode, can you give me some advise on this.

    Normally, this kind of problem doesn't occur. Can you share the formula of your custom column? Or do you have a date table connected to the date column?
