Any licensing experts out there?
We are moving away from our parent company who has a P2 license. So this is the environment we are used to. And we are not admins of our current license so have little visisbility into the setup.
Our new parent company does not use Power Bi in any meaningful way, but recognizes that we do use it for reporting since our ERP platform is different from theirs and it is how we serve up information to our approximately 100 users.
I think I will be challenged by our new owners as to why we need a P1 or even PPU licenses instead of just Power Bi pro licenses. From a sharing and collaboration standpont they seem similar. And we do not currently have any users that create their own reports in the service (pretty much just one person creates the reports..me)
We do actively use dataflows since our ERP system does not have a native connection via Power Bi. And all of our reports are based on shared datasets and the reports and datasets all reside in premium workspaces.
What are the main arguments against Pro...and for Premium?

Based on your question the biggest differences are below:
1. If the dataset sizes are smaller than 1GB in PBIX size then you can use Power BI Pro.
2. If you are sharing with 100 users then it would be cheaper for each user to get a Power BI Pro license.

Yeah the additional computing is if your dataset is larger than 1GB, if it is not then it is not really worthwhile in my opinion....
