Analyze in Excel with Online Excel

Hello all

I have read the May 2021 features summary and if I have well understood, it is now possible to refresh pivot tables created with Analyze in Excel with Online Excel. I have updated the Analyze in Excel driver but I still get an error message from Excel online when trying to refresh data. So I wonder if the feature has been released, and if so, are there some settings that should be changed to have it?. My workflow is

1- Use "Analyze in Excel" from PBI service, add some data in the pivot table, save the Excel file on Onedrive.

2- Close Excel Desktop and open the Excel file from OneDrive, with Excel online. I then get the warning about the file containing a query, and an error message when I try to refresh data or modify the pivot table.

Thanks in advance !

To refresh connected PivotTables in Excel for the web, you must create a workbook using one of these following entry points:

DOWNLOAD A CONNECTED WORKBOOK IN THE POWER BI SERVICE

CONNECT TO POWER BI DATASET IN EXCEL DESKTOP

Power BI May 2021 Feature Summary | Microsoft Power BI Blog | Microsoft Power BI

Well that is exactly what I did : In the Power BI service, open any report or dataset you have access to and use the “Analyze in Excel” option to download an Excel workbook connected to the underlying dataset.

Save the workbook in OneDrive.

Hi, @fduperier

Can you share more details of the error message?

Hello

Here it is. I suspect Sharepoint settings for Excel Service might be the reason, but as I do not have access to them, i can't be sure;

Thanks a lot
