Adobe Analytics scheduled refresh fails in dataflow - must re-enter credentials

I have a dataflow that uses the Adobe Analytics connector to pull data. It is the only connector used in the dataflow. I have the dataflow scheduled to refresh weekly, wherein lies the issue. I can setup the Data source credentials and manually kick-off the refresh and it works fine. Often times the next scheduled refresh will also work. After that the refreshes start to fail with the error "Credentials not found for data source". I then re-enter the same credentials into the Data source credentials section, kick off the refresh again, and it works, repeating the same pattern. The Adobe account does NOT use MFA.

I don't understand why the credentials continually go stale, forcing me to re-enter them. Is there a setting in Power BI I'm missing? Or perhaps in Adobe Analytics? Any ideas how I can get the credentials to stick would be much appreciated.

Hi @jcperficient ,

I believe that Adobe Analytics has a connection and/or userid timeout (which would explain how it works 1 or 2 times and then no more).  I don't know where this is modified - but your local Adobe admin should be able to change that for you.

Hi @jcperficient As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party tool. I've tried windsor.ai , supemetrics (which doesn't has PBI as a destination, so you first have to export to Google Sheets and then export to PBI) and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder,  to make the connection first search for the Adobe connector in the data sources list:

ADOBE-1.png

Then, you should enter your Adobe credentials to make the connection. After that, you'll see a preview of your data where you can select the fields you want to see in PBI.

ADOBE-2.png

Finally, you just have to choose PBI as destination and copy and paste the url that will appear there in PBI desktop --> Get Data --Web > --> Paste the link
