Admin changing user subscription breaks subscription
Hi MarkPalmberg ,
Thanks for the follow-up question and also thank you for pointing that out.
Admins should normally be able to modify user subscriptions, and this is not a documented rule or restriction in Power BI. What I meant was that, based on the behaviour you described, the issue seems to occur after the subscription is modified from the admin side, so the suggestion was intended only as a temporary workaround to help avoid triggering the error. Since the subscription works before the admin edit and fails afterward with the EmailSubscriptionCannotSubscribeOthersError message, this appears to be an unexpected behaviour rather than intended functionality.
Hope this helps. If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to reach out to us. We will be happy to help.
Thank You.
Thanks, v-anbandari . Do you know if there's an open issue for this? It looks like a 🐛.
