Add data source (Sharepoint) for the gateway

Hi 

 

I am new to dataflow, and I have a problem adding sharepoint source in the gateway. Under data source setting, the authentication method is either window or anonymous. I am using microsoft account to connect to sharepoint in the power bi Desktop. I do not have any information (username & password) for the window. How to deal with that? What is your suggestion for the sharepoint connection?

    Hi there

    Are you connecting to a file in SharePoint or a List?

    If it is a file, you could put in the full URL list to the file, which should then prompt for an organizational account.

      Hi,

       

      I am using sharepoint which does not offer microsoft account in the authentication method. Is there a way to connect to gateway through microsoft, because I do not have information for window?

        Hi there

        Is this SharePoint Online or SharePoint on Premise?

        And are you connecting to a SharePoint List or a file stored in SharePoint?
