Add Excel Data source in on-premise gateway

Can you confirm whether the gateway is installed on your pc, or somewhere else? If it is not installed on your own pc it will not be able to access files that are only accessible from your pc. If this is the case, you could install a personal gateway on your pc to enable your local files to be refreshed as well.
If you do already have the gateway correctly installed on your pc and it is still returning the error, you could try changing the full path like mentioned in the solution to this question: Solved: Re: My source is now in shared folder which gatewa... - Microsoft Power BI Community
