I have a report that shows a summary of item counts such as total views, completed items, and overall active items. Each of these count visualizations source from different tables whose relationships have the exact same Many to one active relationship with a calendar date column so that the data is filterable by a date range.
All the other view count visualizations are displaying as intended and are dynamic to the date ranges but only this one visualization is always showing blank. I know there is data in it 'cause when I remove the relationship it always shows the total count however it is not filterable by date range anymore. I have no clue why this is since all other tables have the same mapping between a default created on and the calendar date column. I checked the data type, formatting and everything they are all the same but this one visualization won't show the data at all.

Hi @bcdobbs, yes I've also check that and they are both already set to the same formatting and everything but it still doesn't work.
However, I finally got it to work by replacing the previsouly selected default Created On column (I also tried the default Modified On column but doesn't work too) with a new date column of the same date format, etc. and it works now. It is so weird but it is displaying the visualizations and is dynamic to the date ranges now.

Might be unrelated. Be careful with difference beteeen "date format" and the columns data type. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-data-types#datetime-types
Thanks for this but it doesn't seem to apply in my case since the formatting ang data within said column is consistent since it is from a Dataverse default column. That is why it is the column I wanted to select consistently for all my relationships but it's ironic that a created column works for it instead of the default one which worked for all the other relationships.
Hi @r3vlock
Ensure that the relationship between your table (with the item counts) and the calendar date column is indeed set as active and that the cross-filter direction is appropriate. Sometimes, even if the relationship is active, the filter direction might not propagate as expected.

Hi @Anonymous,
Thanks for your response. Yes, I have ensured that the relationship is active with the correct cross-filter direction but it still always shows blank records. I have double checked the relationships between all the tables with the calendar date column but the one remaining relationship doesnt show records even if I try all other relationship combinations.
I'm still very new to this but I was wondering maybe I may have missed something? Are there other settings that may affect a relationship between two tables? In terms of the direct relationship between them and reviewing the dataverse backend I am sure that the data should be displaying.
