Access missing strangely in app.powerbi

I have a live report; that never had any access issue. Now I can see some alerts of access pending, here:

It is very strange because in the app we have effectively permission added for all the domain!

Why are they missing  access? My hypothesis is that they somehow got a link for the report?! (but for the one in the workspace, which shall be internal only for developers, correct?)

How can this be avoided?

Hi @Anonymous ,

Whether the user has access rights to the dataset? In order to be able to access a dataset's manage permissions page, you must have an admin or member role in the workspace where the dataset is located.

  • The permissions page doesn't change permission on datasets in other workspaces. You do see a warning reminding you to grant access to those datasets independently. A best practice is to contact the dataset owner before starting to build your app to ensure it is OK to give all your app users access those datasets.
  • You can have at most 100 users or groups in the access list for the app. However, you can give more than 100 users access to the app. To do so, use one or more user groups that contain all the desired users.
