Hi,
We deploy live reports through different Apps in Power BI service from Live Workspaces. Ideally, on the live workspace we keep the Power BI Platform Admin and Support teams as the Workspace Admin and Member Role. We deploy using AD groups to cover 80% of the audience. The rest 20% are temp workers for whom we don’t give access upfront instead we let them send access request which usually ends as an email in a mail box of the Dataset Owner. The list of users who requested also appear on the App Release Access page(image below).
How can we divert this access request to the Business owner of the report , rather than administered by the Dataset owner in this case the platform admin. Who can approve the access request to the app?
Yes to all of that 🙂
The problem is that there is currently no programmatic access to this request queue (via API or audit log). Please raise an idea for what you are trying to achieve.
This is your chance to engage directly with the engineering team behind Fabric and Power BI. Share your experiences and shape the future.
