Ability to refresh a dataset as Viewer

Good Evening,

I am curious if there is a way for a person with Viewer rights in a workspace to trigger a dataset refresh?

According to the workspace security document from Microsoft, you NEED contributor or above to do this.

Can one use API calls, power automate, or other ways to trigger a dataset refresh?

Hey, try using power automate. You can also use Rest API but that may require Azure logic apps.
