Hello Experts,
I am handelling a unique access situtation here in the Power BI Service. Please fine my access matrix below for your reference.
| Report1 | Report2 | Report3 | Report4 | |
| AD Group G1 | Viewer | Viewer | Member | Member |
| AD Group G2 | Member | Member | Viewer | Viewer |
| AD Group G3 | Viewer | Viewer | Viewer | Viewer |
| AD Group G4 | Admin | Admin | Admin | Admin |
I am having all Report1. . . . Report4 in Workspace W1. In W1, I have added workspace level access for AD Group G3 as Viewer and AD Group G4 as Admin. But how to modify access to AD Group G1
| Report1 | Report2 |
as Viewer and
| Report3 | Report4 |
as Member.
I have tried with Report1 >Share and then added AD Group G1 as Viewer and How to do Report3 share add AD Group G1 as member.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Hi @ayanmazumderpbi ,
Workspace roles are specific to the entire workspace and cannot currently be applied to individual reports/datasets. The current workaround is to create four workspaces for report1- report4. Then assign roles for G1-G4 respectively.
For such kind of needs, I would suggest you submit an idea in Power BI Ideas: Ideas
It’s a place where the product group collects suggestions from users to improve the features of this product. Thanks in advance!

Currently in an app workspace a group/user can only belong to 1 role for the entire app workspace.
