AAS migration to PowerBI getting error message while connecting to AAS.

I am trying to migrate AAS model to Power BI in fabric but getting following error. I am sys admin on AAS, firewall is turned off on the server (however i tried both on (PowerBI Serverice) enable and off with ) and the server is running. I am having Pro license. does anyone know whats going on. This error message seems cryptic. what am i missing. Am i unable to connect due to Pro license or I need to do something else.

Hi @ss_analytics,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.

  • Power BI Pro does not support AAS connections in fabric, we need a Power BI Premium or Fabric capacity to fully support AAS migration.
  • Additionally even though you are a sys admin, still explicitly need to be added as a Server Administrator in AAS.
  • If the issue still persists, please try connecting in power bi desktop first and check if it works there. Let us know if you need any further assistance.

If this post helps, then please consider Accepting as solution to help the other members find it more quickly, don't forget to give a "Kudos" – I’d truly appreciate it!
