2 Published Reports from 1 PBIX File
Hello all,
I have a Power BI report that has a large amount of data (maybe about 1 million rows and growing fast). It is widely used in our organisation. There are 2 main user types:
1. Executives - look at it once a day, interested in the high level insights & trends over time
2. Operations team - interested in every single row of data, look at it and refresh it every 5 minutes.
The issue is that the refresh cycles are taking too long for user 2. I want to create a report for them that only has 1 month of data so the refresh is fast. However I do not want to maintain 2 different PBIX files, this will result in me having to make any changes twice.
Is it possible to have 2 published reports from 1 PBIX file: (1) with all data, and (2) with 1 month of data?
Or what do you advise is the best way to go about this?
Warm regards,
Katie
Hi Katie-Farrand12 ,
It sounds like this might be a good use case for query parameters. You could have the same report .pbix but published with different parameters for each version.
