I get this error after setting up a copy job to copy On Premise SQL Server tables to Fabric SQL Database
I have successfully seen this done on You Tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ae77yoGqqnM&t=300s
ErrorCode=SqlFailedToConnect,'Type=Microsoft.DataTransfer.Common.Shared.HybridDeliveryException,Message=Cannot connect to SQL Database. Please contact SQL server team for further support. Server: 'xxxxxxxxxxx.database.fabric.microsoft.com,1433', Database: 'xxxxxxxxxxx', User: ''. Check the connection configuration is correct, and make sure the SQL Database firewall allows the Data Factory runtime to access.

Hi @PaulineSP,
Can you provide us some more details about the configuration?

The details are very simple - I am connecting to an On Premise SQL Server via an On Premise Gateway. The copy job allows me to connect to the on premise server, select the database and table I wish to copy, preview the contents of the table, view the column mappings, start the copy job but after about 1 minute the copy job timesout with the above error. I have tried both a Pipeline with copy job and a Dataflow Gen 2 but am unable to successfully copy data. I have now reported this to Microsoft and they are doing an investigation. I will update this forum when I get an answer from Microsoft
