Hi @Raju1113 ,

Firstly, it's important to ensure that you have the correct ODBC driver installed and configured properly. The Simba ODBC driver is specifically designed to facilitate connections between your client applications and your data source. For Azure Databricks, as an example, both ODBC and JDBC drivers are provided for this purpose. Detailed instructions on installing the ODBC driver can be found here: Download and install the Databricks ODBC Driver - Azure Databricks | Microsoft Learn.

Given the context of your issue, here are the steps you should follow to create an ODBC data source for use with Power BI gateway and Power BI Report Builder:

  1. Install the 64-bit ODBC Driver: Make sure that the 64-bit version of the ODBC driver is installed on your system. This is crucial as Power BI Report Builder and the Power BI Gateway are 64-bit applications. The driver installation steps vary based on your operating system and can be found in the documentation provided by the driver vendor.

  2. Configure ODBC Data Source in Power BI Service:

  3. Install Power BI Gateway: If not already installed, download and install the Power BI gateway from the official Power BI website. Ensure the 64-bit ODBC driver is installed on the gateway computer.

  4. Configure ODBC Data Source in Power BI Gateway: Specify the ODBC data source details during setup or in the gateway configuration.
