Hello,Greg_Deckler ,thanks for your concern about this issue.

Your answer is excellent!
And I would like to share some additional solutions below.

Hi,@gman98 .I am glad to help you.
I think the suggestion made by Greg_Deckler is spot on.
In fact, due to the unique nature of Publish report to web, many features would be disabled in this case.
This is due to the fact that once a report is published to the web, it becomes a transparent and open public resource, and all users have access to it.
In this particular model, data privacy protection cannot be guaranteed. Once other users can export the report data by exporting visual data, then a lot of private information of the report will be leaked. It is even possible to bypass the RLS set by the producer for the report by "publish to web".

These restrictions are designed to ensure data security and privacy, as well as system performance and stability.Microsoft is very concerned about protecting the privacy of user information, so these features involving sensitive information are not available in "Publish to web" mode.
If you need to export your data from the visual , I recommend you to do it in Power BI Service or share it with other users via a link.

I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.
Best Regards,
Carson Jian
