report server - how to go back to developer edition

We installed Power BI Report Server on our on premises development-machine. We accidentally entered the product key for the Enterprise edition. I tried to go back to the installation and changes it to the developer edition but it doesn't work.

Is it possible to go back to the Developer edition without re-installinjg everything?

Hi @Anonymous,

I'm afraid you may need to uninstall and re-install Power BI Report Server with Developer edition. But, to keep the content you stored in PBI report server, you can backup the Report Server Database and Report Server TempDB, after installing the new PBI report server instance, connect to the backup DB rather than a new one.
